Deli Manager Job Description:

A Piggly Wiggly Deli Manager oversees the daily operations of the deli department, ensuring quality products, excellent customer service, and a clean and safe environment. Repsponsibilities include managing staff, maintaining food safety standards, monitoring food quality and presentation, and handling customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing Staff:

    Deli Managers supervise and train deli associates, ensuring they adhere to Piggly Wiggly standards and procedures

Food Safety:

    They implement and maintain strict food safety practices, including proper food handling, storage, and preparation to ensure compliance with all regulations. You will be required to have or obtain a SERVSAFE certificate.

Quality Control:

    Deli Managers are responsible for inspecting food quality and presentation, monitoring product freshness, and ensuring that all items meet Piggly Wiggly's standards

Customer Service:

    They interact with customers, take orders, and resolve any issues or concerns

Operational Efficiency:

    Deli Managers manage the daily operations of the deli, including stocking, cleaning, and maintaining equipment.

Inventory Management:

    They oversee the ordering, receiving, and storage of deli products, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste

Financial Management:

    They may be responsible for handling cash transactions, managing inventory costs, and contributing to the overall profitability of the deli.

Merchandise presentation:

    Deli Managers are responsible for ensuring the deli is clean, organized, and appealing to customers
