JOB SUMMARY

• Cuts, stains, and studies specimens of human tissue to provide data on the functioning of tissues and organs, causes and/or progress of disease, following established standards and practices. The certified histotechnician performs all procedures required to obtain slides from fixed and unfixed tissue and fluids to enable a pathologist to render a diagnosis.
