Coating Plant Operations Lead at Certified Enameling Inc – Los Angeles, California

The Coating Plant Operations Lead will take full ownership of daily operations across our Kynar and Powder Coating lines, ensuring all departments are aligned to meet safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency goals. This is a critical leadership position that bridges people, process, and performance. You’ll collaborate with internal teams—including Fabrication, Production, Sales, Quality, and Admin—and be empowered to make real improvements on the ground.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee Kynar and powder coating production lines, including workflow, scheduling, labor planning, and material coordination.

Work closely with Production, Sales, and Admin teams to ensure smooth, timely operations and excellent communication.

Implement and lead Lean manufacturing or process improvement initiatives to drive throughput and reduce waste.

Manage a strong floor presence—coaching teams, resolving real-time issues, and upholding safety and quality standards.

Track and report on KPIs, escalate risks, and create structure to support long-term operational excellence.

Develop and lead a team culture rooted in accountability, respect, and performance.

What You Bring
5+ years of plant or operations leadership experience in a coating, finishing, or manufacturing environment.

Experience in Kynar (PVDF) and/or powder coating processes is highly preferred.

Background in process engineering, Lean operations, or Six Sigma methodologies.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to unify and motivate diverse teams.

Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
