Art Director

Summary
Asbury Automotive is in need of an art director with a strong background in graphic design and concept development. The primary responsibility of the art director is to create and execute graphic design for assigned clients/projects, working with other team members to ensure that results are on schedule and meet strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a knowledge of design, typography, branding, layout (including hierarchy, composition, and communication), photo retouching, and image manipulation
  • Develop campaigns and branding elements
  • Create, design, and execute graphic design projects as assigned.
  • Present creative campaigns that support agreed-upon goals and strategy
  • Contribute to creative team brainstorm and critique sessions
  • Give clear direction and feedback to production designers and editors working on shared projects
  • Generate completed work as assigned on scheduled timeline
  • Present finished creative product to stakeholders in a succinct and professional manner
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values
  • Protect the legal, moral, and financial well-being of the company
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Requirements

  • 3+ years of advertising design experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in graphic design
  • Mastery in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient in print design, including large format
  • Proficient in digital design, including social media formats
  • Portfolio of past work that demonstrates design proficiency
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to prioritize projects, work within short time frames, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to interact with team members effectively while maintaining professionalism


  • Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands and fingers and move about facilities.
  • Regular vision—including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
