Our ideal candidate must possess deep technical expertise in structural engineering along with a minimum of three-years’ experience in the U.S. Must be able to work in person in our Lyndhurst office location.

· Must have successfully completed all duties and responsibilities of an Engineer I, either at TGE or elsewhere. Independently performs most assignments with limited direction.

· Prepare structural calculations and designs for projects involving multiple construction materials.

· Collaborate with the design/drafting team to produce structural drawings.

· Support team in ensuring project success through meeting schedules and maintaining budgets by striving to stay at or below the allotted number of hours budgeted for producing project deliverables.

· Develop and evaluate options for complex structural engineering problems and implement solutions.

· Apply structural design techniques, tools, and principals to produce or modify project drawings, specifications, and calculations.

· Redline drawings created by design/drafting team or provided by client, and work with Engineering Team Manager on custom calculations and details for assigned projects.

· Solve complex engineering problems using experience, judgment, and education.

· Perform out of town, independent site visits as needed to address existing conditions and/or conformance to design drawings.

· Actively work toward obtaining P.E. license if not already obtained.

· Act in a professional manner, exemplifying TGE’s core values and mission statement.

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid design conclusions.

· Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

· Proficient in engineering design software and equipment to prepare engineering calculations and design documents.

· Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to produce high quality technical reports, letters, and other project correspondence.
