Position: Security Guard Employee - Per Diem

Security Guard (Per diem) will be responsible for patrolling the property of Polamer Precision in New Britain Headquarters. Detect suspicious activity and ensure safe and secure environment for customers and employees by monitoring premises, controlling access and traffic.

Responsibilities:
• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry
• Obtains help by sounding alarms • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures
• Controls traffic by directing drivers
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures
• Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls
• Maintains organizations stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Stop suspicious people and ask for identification
• Investigate thefts and file police reports
• Call for aid if necessary • Uses cell phone or walkie-talkies to stay in contact with security supervisor
• Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed
• Report rule infractions and violations
• Inspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and working

Qualifications:
• 3+ years’ experience in Security Guard role
• Lifting, Surveillance skills
• Deals with uncertainty, judgment, objectivity, dependability, emotional control, integrity
• Safety management
• Professionalism
• Reporting Skills
• CT Guard Card required
