Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations across the organization
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs
- Conduct regular safety audits to identify and mitigate risks
- Provide safety training to staff members
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections
- Investigating and report on accidents and incidents
- Provide safety training and education to employees
- Maintain safety records and documentation
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety
- Manage safety-related projects and initiatives
- Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field or
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role and OSHA 500 certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations
- Experience conducting safety audits and risk assessments
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proven ability to develop and implement safety training programs
- Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) CHST. STSC, OHST, or equivalent are preferred
Travel Requirements:
- Flexibility to travel on short notice for urgent business needs, to attend meetings, trainings, and events.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance during business trips.
- Compliance with company travel policies and procedures.
- Ability to travel extensively to job sites
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to use a computer, phone, printer, scanner, and other office equipment.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 25 pounds of files, documents, and materials.
- Visual acuity for detailed work and computer use
- Ability to wear all required PPE
- Ability to work any hours or days as needed
