Position Title: Maintenance Specialist (Short Term)

Your expertise in vehicle maintenance, logistics, and vendor coordination will set you up for success as a Specialist, Maintenance (Short Term) at Merchants Fleet. In this role, youll play a critical part in keeping our offsite fleet ready for the roadensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and delivered to clients on time.

Youll work across vendors, internal teams, and clients to manage the full lifecycle of vehicle readiness, from preventative maintenance and repairs to reconditioning and delivery logistics.

Location: Merchants Fleet Headquarters (Hooksett, NH)

What Your Day Looks Like:

You will:

• Manage the availability and readiness of offsite fleet vehicles, including maintenance, repairs, reconditioning, and compliance
• Establish and maintain a strong vendor network for maintenance, body work, transportation, and reconditioning services
• Plan, forecast, and schedule repair work to optimize turnaround time and fleet utilization
• Monitor vehicle logistics and proactively resolve issues, ensuring timely delivery and pickup
• Communicate with internal teams and external partners throughout the vehicle lifecycle
• Make informed decisions that prioritize vehicle quality, safety, and cost efficiency
• Manage repair cycle times to meet departmental KPIs and reduce aged inventory
• Coordinate fleet compliance, including registrations and inspections
• Utilize systems such as Salesforce (CRM) and TSD to track and manage vehicle activity
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and share best practices with peers
• Support cross-functional teams by providing maintenance expertise and guidance

Experience:

• Experience managing automotive maintenance and repairs for passenger vehicles and light-duty trucks
• Experience working with dealerships and independent repair facilities
• (Preferred) Experience with medium/heavy-duty trucks (Class 58)

Education:

• Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience
