General Description:

Roll/Form Plate for Shop & Field Jobs. Ensure the proper parameters are loaded into the machine settings for each job. Fits & tacks when needed, Layout nozzle holes & bolt holes in Plate. Operates hand cutting torch & track torch. Some plate grinding. Load & unload Plate. Help in various shop tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC plate rolling machines according to job specifications and blueprints
• Adjust machine settings to control pre-bending, bending angles, curvature, and dimensions
• Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and material specifications
• Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with tolerances
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on rolling equipment
• Use measuring tools such as sweep boards and tape measures to verify dimensions
• Handle and move heavy steel up to 10'x40' plates using overhead cranes, hoists, or forklifts
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
• Collaborate with supervisors, quality control personal, and team members to improve processes and efficiency

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
• Proven experience operating CNC plate rolling machines or similar heavy equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Experience with metal fabrication and forming processes
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment
• Basic math skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in welding or metal fabrication
• Experience with CNC-controlled rolling machines
• Knowledge of different steel grades and material properties

Pay & schedule

• $28.00–$40.00/hr. (based on skills)
• 10-hour shifts: 6:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (paid through a 30-minute lunch)
• Overtime available
• Long term employment

Qualification Standards:

• Two years experience
