Patient Care Equipment Tech- Sterile Processing at Cookeville Regional Medical Center – Cookeville, Tennessee

The Patient Care Equipment Tech is responsible for assuring that patient care equipment is accurately tracked through the facility from request, patient use and return via the automated tracking system. On a daily basis is accountable for the individuals who inventory, retrieve, decontaminate, perform preventive maintenance and stock patient care equipment in the designated service or clinical locations. Other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: Healthcare experience specifically with patient care equipment knowledge preferred. Knowledge of automated medical inventory systems desired. On the job training is provided. Ability to tactfully and courteously communicate and cooperate well with all contacts. Must possess ability to work well under pressure, to function independently and dependently, and be flexible in applying knowledge to a variety of situations. Demonstrates personal traits of a high level of motivation, team orientation, and trustworthiness.
