Looking for a career where your work truly matters? At VB Spine, you’ll be part of a mission-focused team that supports surgeons during life-changing spinal procedures. We’re the largest privately held spine company and among the largest family-owned medical technology companies in the world, dedicated to innovation, surgeon partnerships, and improving patient outcomes in spine care. As a Quality Inspector in our Quality function within the Spine division, you’ll play a critical hands-on role in ensuring that all purchased, in-process, and finished medical devices meet strict quality, dimensional, and regulatory requirements — helping maintain the highest standards of product safety and reliability for the operating room.

  • Conduct label inspections and non-sterile inspections for non-complex implants
  • Accurately record inspection results in the computerized quality database
  • Transact parts in the inventory control system (JD Edwards)
  • Initiate Quarantine Tickets (QTs) for nonconforming product following prescribed procedures
  • Support and follow all company policies, procedures, and GMP requirements
  • Meet established productivity and quality targets
  • Collaborate with team members while working independently on inspection tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall quality assurance goals

What You Bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college or technical training preferred
  • 0–2 years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing (medical device experience is a plus)
  • Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints
  • Basic knowledge and experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, video measurement systems, and plug gauges
  • Working knowledge of GMP compliance for Class II medical devices and ISO 13485 preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Excel, MS Word, and database experience
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Self-starter who can work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team

Why VB Spine?
We believe in growing talent from within. At VB Spine, join a high-performing team where your attention to detail directly impacts the quality and safety of life-changing spinal implants and instruments — positioning yourself for growth in a mission-driven medical device company.
