As a backend developer, you will collaborate closely with researchers to transform experimental prototypes into reliable, production-grade services. You’ll take ownership of backend projects end-to-end, from architecture design to deployment, in a highly autonomous environment. The position involves working with complex data pipelines and scalable systems that support advanced analytical and intelligence efforts. You will have the chance to shape infrastructure, influence technical direction, and deliver impactful solutions. • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems that support large-scale open-source intelligence collection
• Build and manage APIs that enable other teams to access and utilize collected data efficiently
• Transform research prototypes into robust, production-ready services with strong architecture and observability
• Define and evolve system architecture and data pipelines to support research and analytical workflows
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability across backend services handling large datasets
• Own backend projects end-to-end, from initial scoping and design to deployment and ongoing optimization
• Collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to align technical solutions with research needs

• Minimum of 5 years of backend development experience using Python, JavaScript, or similar modern programming languages
• Proven experience building and operating high-scale systems and working with large datasets
• Strong track record of delivering and maintaining production services, ideally in a SaaS environment
• Ability to work independently, managing projects from concept to delivery with minimal supervision
• Solid understanding of system design, API development, and data pipeline architecture
• Familiarity with modern development practices, including testing, monitoring, and observability
• AI-first mindset, with experience leveraging LLMs or automation tools to enhance productivity
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges

Nice to have:

• Experience in cybersecurity environments or startups
• Knowledge of malware analysis, reverse engineering, or web penetration testing
• Participation in Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions
• Experience with ETL pipelines and data processing workflows
