This leadership role sits at the intersection of technology, sales, and product strategy within a fast-paced Education Technology environment. You will lead a high-performing Solutions Engineering organization responsible for enabling complex, high-value deals across K–12, higher education, and professional learning markets. Acting as a critical bridge between Sales, Product, and Customer Success, you will shape how technical solutions are positioned, demonstrated, and delivered to customers. The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on engagement in enterprise opportunities, ensuring scalable, secure, and impactful solutions. You will influence revenue growth by improving technical win rates and shortening sales cycles. This is a remote-first position with occasional travel for key customer engagements and events.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Solutions Engineers, defining strategy, best practices, and operational standards for pre-sales execution and technical solutioning.
- Partner with Sales leadership to support strategic and enterprise opportunities, leading discovery sessions, executive-level presentations, and proof-of-concept engagements.
- Translate customer needs into scalable technical solutions across education environments, including integrations, APIs, LMS platforms, and data privacy requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Customer Success teams to align customer feedback, influence roadmap decisions, and ensure seamless post-sales transitions.
- Drive operational excellence through performance metrics, demo environments, solution architecture standards, and continuous process improvement.
- 6–12+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Solution Architecture, including 2–5+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong background in SaaS, enterprise software, or Education Technology environments with experience supporting complex technical sales cycles.
- Deep understanding of solution design, system architecture, and integration concepts, including APIs and data-driven platforms.
- Proven ability to engage executive stakeholders and translate technical capabilities into clear business value.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills with a track record of building high-performing technical teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration abilities in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
