This role plays a key supporting function within a mortgage lending sales team, ensuring smooth coordination between loan originators, customers, and external partners throughout the mortgage process. You will act as a central point of contact for communications, helping streamline appointments, documentation, and loan-related updates to ensure an efficient and positive customer experience. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced financial services environment. You will also contribute to sales effectiveness by assisting with customer engagement, cross-selling opportunities, and relationship building with referral partners such as realtors and builders. This is a highly collaborative role where accuracy, responsiveness, and customer focus directly impact loan processing efficiency and satisfaction. It offers exposure to residential mortgage operations and sales support within a regulated banking environment.
- Support mortgage loan originators by coordinating daily sales activities, managing communications with customers, referral partners, and internal teams.
- Set clear expectations for customers regarding loan status, documentation requirements, appointments, and rate inquiries.
- Schedule and confirm appointments while ensuring all necessary documents are collected and prepared for loan processing.
- Assist in assembling complete loan files and ensuring accuracy and compliance before submission to processing teams.
- Provide marketing and administrative support to strengthen pipeline management and sales execution.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners such as realtors, builders, appraisers, and title companies.
- Support cross-selling of additional banking products when appropriate and assist with general team needs as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, mortgage processing, or loan origination support.
- Basic understanding of residential mortgage lending concepts and workflows.
- Familiarity with federal lending regulations related to residential real estate.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Windows-based applications and loan processing systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service mindset.
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
