You will lead and develop multidisciplinary scientific teams while fostering a culture of performance, quality, and continuous improvement. This is a highly visible role with significant impact on service delivery, scientific integrity, and long-term organizational growth.

Accountabilities:
  • Provide strategic scientific leadership by aligning organizational vision with execution across R&D and clinical operations teams.
  • Partner with clinical operations leadership to define and implement scientific strategy and operational priorities.
  • Lead, manage, and develop scientific and R&D teams, ensuring performance, resource allocation, and delivery of key objectives.
  • Oversee talent development initiatives, including onboarding, training programs, coaching, and career progression planning.
  • Act as scientific escalation point for internal teams and external clients, ensuring timely and effective scientific solutions.
  • Guide validation activities, biomarker development, and implementation of new technologies in regulated environments.
  • Coordinate cross-functional improvement initiatives to enhance processes, quality, and service capabilities.
  • Oversee audit responses, regulatory readiness, and compliance with laboratory standards and industry frameworks.
  • Support external engagement strategies including conferences, client interactions, and 3PL collaborations.

Requirements:

  • PhD with 10+ years of experience in clinical trials or regulatory laboratory environments, or Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences with 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience managing scientific or technical teams.
  • Strong expertise in clinical laboratory operations within regulated environments.
  • Solid understanding of GCP, GLP, GCLP, CAP, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in methodology validation for clinical trials and applied scientific problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Preferred certifications include board credentials in clinical chemistry, immunology, toxicology, or related scientific disciplines.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate in a global matrix environment.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $175,000 to $240,000 annually.
  • Remote work flexibility with approximately 50% travel requirements.
  • Comprehensive healthcare and insurance coverage (medical, dental, and vision).
  • Opportunities for professional development, leadership growth, and continued scientific education.
  • Exposure to global scientific programs and high-impact clinical research initiatives.
  • Collaborative, innovation-driven work environment with cross-functional leadership engagement.
  • Participation in conferences and external scientific forums.
