Description

Work Schedule: Saturday - Wednesday (Off Monday and Tuesday)

Hours:

  • 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Saturday
  • 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM Sunday - Wednesday

With the ability to work overtime, extra days, and holidays as needed.

Pay Rate: $24.93/ hour (starting rate at 80% of the full rate)

Wage Progression:

  • 80% at hire: $24.93/ hour

  • 90% after 6 months: $28.05/hour

  • 100% after 1 year: $31.16/hour

This position follows a union wage progression scale. Employees advance to the full rate after one year of continuous service.

SUMMARY

Supports the shipping department by efficiently receiving, storing, selecting, loading, and distributing goods and products in the Dry Warehouse.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Selects and assembles product from load sheets within established time limits.
  • Receives and puts away all merchandise being delivered to the warehouse.
  • Ensures all receiving documentation is correct and any discrepancies are resolved immediately.
  • Assembles and distributes plant supplies and ingredients used in the production process.
  • Maintains Warehouse interior (including restrooms) in a clean, neat and organized manner, ensuring strict adherence to all policies and procedures established for the Dry Warehouse.
  • Reports all equipment discrepancies to the Shipping Manager for resolution.
  • Orders all labels, water, and ingredients.
  • Bails plastic compactor for recycling and cardboard.
  • Cycle count inventories.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • All employees are expected to support the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program by following food safety and quality procedures, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness, and reporting any concerns. Team members must understand their role in the SQF System, complete required training, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement to ensure safe, high-quality products.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum high school diploma with higher education or certification required.
  • Forklift certified preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime when needed.
  • Must proactively direct value-added work under slack conditions.
