Position Summary

As part of the Americold team and broader Tech24 network, the Senior HVACR Technician serves as a lead technical expert in the field. This role is responsible for advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and mentoring junior technicians while ensuring high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer service. The ideal candidate brings extensive commercial foodservice repair experience, strong troubleshooting ability, and the confidence to work independently while representing Tech24 with professionalism and integrity. Foodservice Technician plays a key role in minimizing equipment downtime and supporting the overall success of our customers’ operations.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration systems (walk-ins, reach-ins, prep tables, ice machines, etc.) Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers, etc.Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe efficient equipment operations Accurately document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions in company systemClearly communicate repair status, recommendations, and timelines to customersManage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stockedRespond to service calls in a timely and professional mannerRepresent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer serviceFollow all safety regulations and company policiesParticipate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities Qualifications

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills 3+ years of commercial foodservice and/or refrigeration repair experience Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record requiredExperience working on commercial kitchen equipment is a plusAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprintsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditionsAbility to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quartersOwn industry standard hand toolsWillingness to participate in an on-call rotation as neededEPA Universal certification preferredCompensation Transparency

The advertised pay range for this position is $25-$40 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience level, technical certifications, specialized expertise, and overall qualifications. Candidates with advanced commercial foodservice experience may be considered at the higher end of the range.
