PanCare of Florida is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse or provider while helping ensure an efficient, supportive, and positive experience for every patient that walks through our doors.

What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures while maintaining a caring, professional environment
- Take and record vital signs and other clinical measurements
- Perform basic diagnostic tests and collect specimens (blood draw, urine collection, swabs, etc.)
- Administer medications and injections as directed by a provider
- Assist with exams, procedures, and medical treatments
- Document all care and patient interactions accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Support referral processing, care coordination, and follow-up documentation
- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and inventory, ensuring cleanliness and readiness
- Support compliance with CLIA, OSHA, safety, and infection-control standards
- Assist with care gap closure, UDS/HEDIS documentation, and quality measures
- Help ensure timely and efficient patient flow throughout the clinic

Required Skills & Competencies
- Patient preparation, vitals, injection administration, phlebotomy, and specimen handling
- Knowledge of basic lab procedures and diagnostic support
- Proficiency with EHR systems and medical software
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and flexible in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor and strong patient-education approach
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred
- Certification required(CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred — new graduates welcome to apply
Physical Requirements
This role requires:
- Standing and walking for extended periods during the clinic day
- Occasional lifting up to 25–30 lbs. (equipment, supplies, patient assistance)
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform hands-on clinical support tasks
- Manual dexterity for injections, blood draws, bandaging, and equipment use
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment
