About This Position
The Truck Driver position is critical to ensuring personal safety, and the safe, timely transportation of goods using various commercial vehicles including box trucks. This role requires strict adherence to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations to maintain compliance and uphold safety standards. Minimum Qualifications:
- Proof of work authorization.
- Valid Driver's License and a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate
- Proven experience in truck driving with knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret maps and GPS navigation systems.
- Strong understanding of transportation management and warehousing processes.
- Physical ability to load and unload cargo as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience driving box trucks.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and transportation management software.
- A CDL license is not required.
- Prior experience working in logistics or supply chain environments.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks safely and efficiently in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Follow all traffic rules and regulations
- Plan and follow assigned routes using maps and GPS to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure mechanical safety and report any issues promptly.
- Coordinate with transportation management and warehouse personnel to schedule loading and unloading of cargo.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
