About This Position



Summary:
The Master Scheduler is responsible for leading production planning and scheduling across the organization. This role will oversee the Planning team and partners closely with Modular Operations, Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Quality, and Finance to align material strategy with production schedules, capacity plans, and customer delivery commitments across multiple manufacturing sites.

The Master Scheduler is responsible for aligning demand, capacity, labor, and materials across the full Request for Quote through shipment lifecycle, ensuring schedule commitment and cross-functional buy-in. This role serves as a key communication link to leadership, providing visibility into performance, risks, and opportunities across the Order-to-Ship pipeline.
Accountabilities:
  • Lead and develop the Planning team, driving accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
  • Create and manage the master production schedule and demand plan aligned to business goals
  • Ensure alignment of production schedules with capacity, labor, and material availability
  • Partner cross-functionally with production, supply chain, engineering, recruiting, and accounting to ensure execution against schedule
  • Drive weekly schedule reviews with department leaders to ensure commitment and accountability
  • Serve as the central point of communication for all scheduling activities, risks, and changes
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics (on-time delivery, throughput, labor utilization, schedule adherence)
  • Identify bottlenecks, risks, and constraints and implement solutions to improve flow and efficiency
  • Support labor and headcount planning in coordination with recruiting and operations leadership
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
  • Ensure visibility and transparency across the full Order-to-Ship pipeline for leadership
  • Own master scheduling and material planning across multiple Modular COE sites
  • Own MRP processes to align demand, inventory, and capacity
  • Partner with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Operations to translate project demand into executable production and material plans
  • Support the MCG SIOP process
  • Adjust schedules proactively based on design changes, customer priorities, or supply constraints.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in scheduling, planning, or production control in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous leadership or team management experience preferred
  • Strong expertise in production scheduling, demand planning, and capacity management
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and planning tools
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain operations
  • Ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with performance metrics and continuous improvement methodologies
  • APICS CPIM or similar certification preferred
