About This Position
We are looking to hire a full-time Wholesale Buyer for DNAM Brands.
In this role, you will own the buying strategy and execution across wholesale channels for our portfolio of iconic brands—including Von Dutch, Ed Hardy, Trina Turk, Valentino Orlandi, and Badgley Mischka. You will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, building assortments, and driving product that aligns with both brand positioning and commercial performance.
This is a highly autonomous role suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and is comfortable making decisions with imperfect information. You will play a key role in shaping product direction, influencing margin, and driving revenue growth across wholesale accounts.
In this role, you will bring a strong commercial point of view and merchant mindset across:
- Assortment planning & product selection
- Trend identification & market analysis
- Vendor sourcing & relationship management
- Pricing strategy & margin optimization
- Inventory planning & sell-through management
We are specifically looking for someone with strong off-price retail experience, particularly buying from retailers such as TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Bealls, Ross, Burlington, or similar. The ideal candidate knows how to identify value quickly, move decisively, and build strong relationships with key vendors.
You will partner closely with Sales, Design, and Production teams to translate market insights into commercially viable assortments tailored to wholesale partners.
This role requires a balance of analytical rigor and creative instinct, with the ability to move quickly and operate independently.
- 3–5 years of buying experience, preferably in wholesale, retail, or fashion environments
- Proven experience in off-price buying (TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, Burlington, Bealls, or similar strongly preferred)
- Strong negotiation and sourcing skills with a track record of driving favorable terms
- Deep understanding of current trends, pricing dynamics, and market demand
- Proven ability to build and manage assortments that drive revenue, margin, and sell-through
- Strong understanding of wholesale dynamics and inventory management
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to operate independently and take ownership
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and making decisions with limited data
- Strong analytical skills with experience in sales performance, inventory, and margin analysis
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Own the end-to-end buying process across wholesale channels, from concept through purchase order
- Build and manage seasonal assortments aligned with wholesale partner needs and brand positioning
- Identify and source product opportunities based on market trends, value, and customer demand
- Analyze sales performance and adjust buying strategy based on key insights and sell-through data
- Partner with Sales to align assortments with account-level strategies and opportunities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and quantities to maximize profitability
- Collaborate with Design and Production to ensure product aligns with brand standards and timelines
- Monitor competitive landscape and off-price market trends to inform buying decisions
- Manage inventory levels and reorders to support wholesale demand
- Work across a portfolio of globally recognized fashion brands
- Direct impact on product strategy and wholesale revenue performance
- High ownership role with significant autonomy
- Opportunity to grow within a dynamic fashion organization
