Full-Time Branch Supervisor - Old Shakopee Road Branch

Salary Range: $24.50 - 36.75 (depending on experience)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Branch Supervisor position is a hands-on leadership role designed to develop future Branch Managers by providing day‑to‑day operational experience, coaching opportunities, and structured leadership development. The Branch Supervisor supports the Branch in creating a positive, fun, and empowering workplace while demonstrating MY CREDIT UNION’s mission of educating, empowering, and engaging those we serve to create an exceptional member experience.

The Branch Supervisor acts as a leader‑in‑training and collaborates closely with the Branch Manager and Director of Branch Operations to build strong operational knowledge, staff leadership skills, and confidence in leading a high‑performing branch environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Member & Staff Support

  1. Provides member and staff support consistent with MY CREDIT UNION’s Mission Statement.
  2. Represents the Credit Union professionally, offering prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
  3. Actively cross-sells and maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of all products and services.
  4. Assists with handling sensitive member relations issues and explaining policies and procedures.

Leadership & Training

  1. Works closely with the Branch Managers and Director of Branch Operations to understand and support daily branch leadership.
  2. Assists with staff scheduling to ensure efficient branch operations.
  3. Provides leadership, motivation, direction, and guidance to staff through effective communication, coaching, and reinforcement of expectations.
  4. Conducts weekly coaching sessions, role‑playing, and one‑on‑ones with staff to support development.
  5. Supports cross‑training efforts and helps identify training needs to ensure the team is highly knowledgeable and effective.

Operational Development

  1. Supports daily operational activities including account opening, transactions, sales activities, and branch maintenance.
  2. Begins developing proficiency in reviewing monthly production reports (lending, account opening, transactions, training, and overtime).
  3. Monitors branch activity, including cross‑selling services, loan volume, new account openings, and transactions.
  4. Provides backup support during staffing shortages, vacations, or absences to ensure smooth branch operations.

Team & Culture Building

  1. Helps create a positive branch culture that emphasizes teamwork, service, professional growth, engagement, and fun.
  2. Participates in staff meetings, pipeline reviews, role‑playing exercises, and team development activities.
  3. Demonstrates strong alignment with the Member Advantage AIDINC process.

Training & Manager‑in‑Training Path

  1. Actively participates in leadership development and branch management training programs.
  2. Engages in continuous learning to develop the skills required to eventually lead a branch.
  3. Works under the mentorship of the Branch Manager and Director to gain comprehensive knowledge of staffing, operations, service, sales, and compliance.

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE:

  1. Always convey a professional image by being respectful, courteous, and considerate of members and co-workers through verbal and non-verbal communications, adhering to MY CREDIT UNION’s dress code, and maintain a clean organized workspace.
  2. Follow MY CREDIT UNION’s Harassment, Discrimination and Respectful Conduct Policy and the Fraud Policy/Code of Ethics Statement.
  3. Complies with Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering/CIP (U.S. Patriot Act) procedures and policies.
  1. Safeguard the confidentiality and security of member information and other sensitive data, in accordance with MY CREDIT UNION’s policies and procedures.
  2. To remain compliant and enforce all other MY CREDIT UNION’s policies and procedures.
  1. Be an effective team member through cooperation, flexibility, dependability, attendance, lack of tardiness and participation at meetings and training.
  2. Be an effective team member demonstrating the Member Advantage AIDINC process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  1. High School degree or equivalent.

Experience:

  1. 5 years or more of customer service in Credit Union, banking, or related field.
  2. Previous banking experience preferred.

Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Ability to concentrate, use reasoning, and analyze situations. The continuous needs to be very alert to the details of the documents being scanned and stored in the correct location.
  2. Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Ability to speak effectively to members and employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret basic forms, credit union documents, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  3. Desire, ability, and experience in working with and helping people in a professional setting with a professional business appearance.
  4. Proficiently operate a computer. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows operating system. Ability to use copy machine, printer, and general office equipment.
  5. Must be detailed oriented and well organized.
  6. Understand MY CREDIT UNION core system.
  7. Must be bondable and honest.

EQUIPMENT USED:

  • Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office Suite, 10-Key Calculator, Computer

MENTAL & PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Mental Effort:

  1. Able to manage multiple requests at the same time.
  2. Able to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful circumstances.

Physical Requirements:

  1. The employee must be able to lift 35 pounds.
  2. The employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods; use their hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  3. The employee must be able to read from a computer screen and enter data with the use of a keyboard.

Working Conditions:

  1. Stress varies depending on workflow from high to low.
  2. Some travel between offices may be required.
