This role is a unique opportunity to join a company that believes exceptional patient care begins with exceptional team member care. As our Educator, you will be at the heart of fostering clinical excellence, promoting professional growth, and ensuring our teams deliver the highest standard of care.
Our mission is clear: to empower exceptional team members to change the lives of dialysis patients, one treatment at a time. If you are a leader dedicated to mentoring others and driving quality, we invite you to join our journey.
Your Impact & How You'll Use Your Skill
This role is for the nurse leader who embodies our core values through their dedication to education, clinical expertise, and mentorship.
- Clinical Education & Mentorship: You will be the primary leader for clinical education, designing and implementing training programs for all new hires and existing staff. You will shape the next generation of dialysis experts by developing preceptors, conducting skills assessments, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Advanced Clinical Practice & Support: You will maintain your own strong clinical proficiency by providing direct, life-sustaining patient care as needed. Your expertise across all modalities (TPE, CRRT, HD, PD) and equipment will make you a go-to resource and a critical support for daily operations.
- Leadership & Quality Improvement: You will act as a key clinical leader and resource, especially in the absence of the Supervisor. You will use your expertise to help develop clinical policies, participate in quality initiatives, and ensure our teams are always ready for regulatory surveys, thereby building trust and strengthening our reputation with hospital partners.
- Cultivate Your Own Leadership Path: This is more than an educator role; it's a career launchpad. You will not only develop others but also gain deep expertise in clinical strategy, program management, and operational leadership, preparing you for future growth opportunities within Hema-Tec.
A Closer Look at Your Responsibilities
To achieve this impact, you will own a range of critical responsibilities that blend clinical expertise with educational leadership:
- Strategic Educational Leadership: Design, implement, and own the clinical education strategy for our acute dialysis program, from new hire orientation to annual competencies and advanced staff development.
- Mentorship & Development: Guide and develop our team of preceptors, ensuring standardized, high-quality training across all sites while serving as a clinical coach for all team members.
- Quality & Compliance: Track and analyze clinical performance data to identify educational opportunities, support quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to the research and development of clinical policies.
- Hands-On Clinical Support: Maintain your own clinical excellence by providing direct patient care as needed, serving as an expert resource and role model for the team.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Serve as a key clinical leader and liaison, collaborating effectively with hospital partners and ensuring our teams are prepared for regulatory and accreditation surveys.
Schedule, Locations & Team
- Schedule & Availability: This is a full-time role requiring participation in a rotating weekend and holiday coverage schedule, coordinated with the Supervisor, to ensure consistent leadership presence and support for our teams.
- On-Call Responsibilities: You will be available to provide direct patient care and support on-call as needed to ensure complete patient care coverage and operational continuity.
- Locations & Travel: You will travel between our partner hospitals in the Milwaukee and Appleton areas to support our teams.
- Team & Support: You will report directly to the Clinical Director, who is committed to your success.
What You Bring

- Experience: A minimum of one year of RN experience is required. Two or more years of dialysis experience is preferred.
- Certification: Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Core Competencies: A self-starter with demonstrated strengths in assessment, critical thinking, and independent problem-solving. You possess excellent organizational skills and a passion for teaching, mentoring, and leading others.
