Description:

The Flex Sales Team Member is a dynamic, multi-skilled role that brings the IMAX sensory experience to life. Operating upper lobby and theater level concessions, this position rotates through three key operational posts:

  1. Plaza Entry – Indoor food & beverage experiences
  2. Plaza Entry – Indoor retail merchandise and sales
  3. Theater Level –Concessions designed for quick serve/grab and go

The Flex Sales Team Member delivers a fast-paced concessions and retail experience in the IMAX at the Center, bringing together film, food, retail, and immersive guest engagement across the venue. This role supports both F&B concessions and retail sales, rotating across posts throughout the day to keep the venue stocked, efficient, visually vibrant, and ready for guests. Whether working in concessions, retail sales, or guiding guests through self-serve kiosks, Flex Sales Team Members play a critical role in creating Transforming Moments that elevate the experience. Every “flex” role is designed to strengthen the overall culture and organization’s ability to adapt and thrive. Flex Sales Team Members will also be trained to assist the Flex Service team.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience & Sales Engagement

  • Deliver energetic, warm, and knowledgeable service reflective of company established hospitality standards.
  • Assist guests with product selection, ingredient information, complimentary pairings, and retail recommendations.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems efficiently and accurately, ensuring smooth transaction flow.
  • Promote featured products, film-adjacent merchandise, and specialty seasonal offerings.

Concessions & Food Service Operations

  • Prepare and restock concession items following food safety, temperature, and handling standards.
  • Support quick-serve and self-serve stations, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
  • Maintain hygienic workspaces, adhere to health compliance regulations, and monitor expiration and rotation cycles (FIFO).
  • Communicate product availability, sales trends, and inventory needs to leadership.

Retail Merchandising & Brand Presentation

  • Execute merchandising standards with visually appealing displays that highlight product collections.
  • Restock retail items, ensuring proper placement, pricing accuracy, and brand consistency.
  • Maintain retail zones in clean, organized, and inviting conditions
  • Assist guests with retail browsing, answering questions
  • Maintain and replenish vending machines. Conduct routine vending troubleshooting and maintenance. Promptly accommodate guests seeking vend assistance.

Inventory, Stocking & Compliance

  • Assist with daily stocking, inventory counts, and product rotation.
  • Maintain accurate par levels and communicate low-stock or out-of-stock needs.
  • Follow all health, safety, allergen, and sanitation regulations.
  • Support loss prevention standards and product handling expectations.

Theater Knowledge & Operational Support

  • Be familiar with daily showtimes, film themes, theater policies, and guest FAQs.
  • Assist guests with cross-venue guidance, theater timing cues, and experience information.
  • Collaborate with the Flex Service team to maintain optimal throughput and guest flow.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Strong guest service skills and a passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced food and retail environments.
  • Comfort in handling transactions, restocking inventory, and multitasking.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Availability during peak operational periods, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain Food Handler’s Permit.
  • Ability to obtain WA State Tips Training Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in attractions, cinemas, theaters, cultural venues, or similar high-volume guest environments.
  • Experience in concessions, F&B, retail, or attractions.
  • Familiarity with merchandising, product rotation, or POS systems.
  • Interest in culinary arts, design, cinema, or artistic storytelling.

Full Time, Hourly Position

Hourly Rate: $21.30 - $21.30 / hour

  • Tuition reimbursement of 50%, up to $2500 / year

  • 4 friends and family admission tickets per year.
  • Charitable Contributions / Matching Gift, up to $500 year
  • $50 / month towards orca card or parking
