About This Position
Job Title: Benefits Coordinator
Location: Catholic Diocese of Tulsa, OK
Job Type: Part-Time with potential to Full-Time
Reports to: Vice President of Care Management
About the Role:
As a Benefits Coordinator, you will serve as a trusted guide and advocate for the members of the Catholic Diocese of Tulsa, helping them navigate the complexities of their healthcare and benefits while supporting their overall health and well-being.
This is a relationship-driven role focused on ensuring members receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time. You will assist with benefits navigation, care coordination, and proactive outreach, supporting preventative care, wellness initiatives, and chronic condition management.
In this role, you will build meaningful, trusted relationships with members offering guidance, education, and ongoing support to help them make informed decisions and improve their overall quality of life.

In this role, you will build meaningful, trusted relationships with members offering guidance, education, and ongoing support to help them make informed decisions and improve their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Member Support & Relationship Building
- Build trusted relationships with members through regular outreach and personal interaction.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for members needing assistance with healthcare and benefits navigation.
- Identify unmet needs and proactively connect members with appropriate services and resources.
- Promote preventive wellness by educating members on available programs, resources, and initiatives.
- Provide clear, accessible information to help members understand and effectively utilize their benefits.
- Assist members in navigating healthcare systems, provider networks, and benefit plans.
- Coordinate medical and specialist appointments to ensure a seamless care experience.
- Coordinate third-party services (e.g., DME, home health, specialty providers).
- Connect members with community-based resources such as transportation, home care, and support services as needed.
- Provide follow-up support after hospitalizations or major health events to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist members with accessing wellness tools and programs (e.g., remote monitoring, health resources).
- Serve as a consistent advocate to help members overcome barriers to care.
- Collaborate closely with Meta Care’s interdisciplinary support team, including pharmacists, nutritionists, and social workers.
- Partner with client leadership to ensure strong communication and coordination of services.
- Participate in meetings to identify member needs and support program growth.
- Support outreach efforts to increase awareness and engagement in available services.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of member interactions and services provided.
- Uphold strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
- Engage professionally and respectfully with all members and colleagues.
- Travel locally as needed to support members and program initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare, benefits, or a related field required.
- Experience with healthcare benefits navigation, insurance, or care coordination strongly preferred.
- Clinical backgrounds (e.g., LPN, RN, CNA, Medical Assistant) are welcomed but not required.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare system, provider networks, and patient support services.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and service-oriented approach.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Compensation based on experience and qualifications.
