C.T. Tech Non-Reg at Medical Center Hospital – Odessa, Texas

Position Summary:

Performs technical aspects of CT that ultimately lead to completed procedures with complete clinical history. Operates equipment in a filmless environment, administering medical x-rays on injured and/or sick patients as directed by physicians following accepted protocols and policies. Checks the technical aspects of exams to determine the exactness of position and technique, assists radiologists as needed, prepares study for interpretation, and provides quality patient care.

Qualifications:

A. Education:

Required:

· Certified by the Texas Medical Board, Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) at time of hire

· ARRT must be obtained within 6 months of the date of hire or transfer to position.

· CPR Certification (BLS) by the American Heart Association upon hire

B. Training and Experience:

A minimum of two years x-ray experience is preferred. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required within 90 days of date of hire.
