Journeyman Outdoor Power Equipment Technician at Rentco Equipment Ltd. – Grande Prairie, Alberta

We are currently looking to hire a Journeyman Outdoor Power Equipment Technician to our work at our Grande Prairie Head Office shop.

As the Outdoor Power Equipment Technician, you are responsible for:

• Completing small engine work orders accurately and timely
• Completing equipment troubleshooting and diagnostic repairs
• Performing service work as required (cleaning, lubricating, etc.)
• Testing repaired equipment for proper performance
• Monitoring parts usage and report on any material issues
• Assisting with ordering replacement equipment, parts, and supplies
• Documenting work performed in detailed, readable, and accurate manner per Rentco procedures

You have the following education, training, and skills:

• Journeyman Small Engine Mechanic/Outdoor Power Equipment Technician certification or equivalent experience
• Class 5 drivers’ licence with a clean abstract and the ability to travel to off-site locations
• Experience working on small tampers, generators, and water pumps
• Ability to be flexible and to work well under pressure
• Ability to lift objects over 50 lbs.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions while wearing proper PPE
