Summary
This job is designed to ensure that the Revenue Cycle Management Department is running as efficiently and productively as possible, while maintaining compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist Revenue Cycle Director and Sr Manager with the development of policies, guidelines, and implementing procedures to ensure a department-wide consistency.
- Assist Revenue Cycle Director and Sr Manager in the enhancement and standardization of work-flow processes and accompanying documentation
- Assist Revenue Cycle Manager with daily, weekly, monthly tasks as needed
- Assist Revenue Cycle Director and Sr Manager with Office Management work queues to ensure optimization of use using KPIs such as but not limited to monthly Days in AR
- Identify and define functional deficiencies with the RCM Department
- Implement and report on the audit/monitoring process for all RCM functions to be developed by the Revenue Cycle Manager.
- Compile, analyze and prepare various status reports for Director of Revenue Management’s review in order to identify trends and make recommendations.
- Assist Revenue Cycle Director and Sr Manager with benchmarking metrics for all functional areas of the department
- Monitor and report on compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Development and management of work groups to include RCM Team Leads and others to identify RCM and/or Practice deficiencies
- Assist in the design and development of training programs that will further enhance the competencies of department staff
- Provide backup support to RCM functional units as needed
- Assist/Troubleshoots RCM Department with APM System related issues and adds for example but not limited to:
- Adds and maps new providers and departments to PM and updates existing provider credentialing information
- Uploads annual dx codes
- Transmits provider claims
- Runs and uploads weekly/monthly Reports and Data Surveys when requested by Office Managers
- Completes EOM Reports
- Remain up to date on latest PM System upgrades and developments
- Remain up to date on latest Insurance carrier notifications and policies
- Assists and participates with Sr RCM Manager in interview and hiring process of RCM Associates
- Assist and participates with writing department policy and procedures documents
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- BA degree desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Healthcare billing. Healthcare analytics experience a plus.
