What we are looking for:

We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Facility Manager to oversee daily operations of our self-storage property. This role is responsible for leasing units, maintaining property appearance, managing customer accounts, and delivering excellent service to tenants. The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and motivated to drive occupancy while ensuring a clean, secure, and welcoming facility. Previous management, sales, or property management experience is a plus. If you enjoy leadership, problem-solving, and working independently, we’d love to hear from you!

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Supervise storage leasing team, maintenance team, and on-site contract workers
  • Review all rental applications and storage agreements for accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure buildings are up to government and environmental regulations
  • Make recommendations for physical repairs, replacements and/or improvements
  • Maintain inventory of all equipment and supplies
  • Schedule on-call personnel and supervise any on-site emergencies that may arise
  • Ensure work assignments are performed in accordance with OSHA standards
  • Make recommendations to improve marketing and leasing programs
  • Maintain accounting records including payroll and overtime, approving invoices for payment, and monitoring rent delinquencies, NSF procedures, and evictions
  • Assist in annual budget creation and prepare monthly variance reports
  • Respond to resident inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly
  • Enforce storage community rules and regulations and provide documentation of disputes or issues
  • Manages the day-to-day operations at the Storage Facility 
  • Collects and Deposits funds  
  • Supervises other employees and vendors 
  • Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly reports
  • Tracks and processes invoices for payment
  • Collects past due funds and sends delinquency notices
  • Completes market surveys and makes recommendations to increase revenue

Qualifications -This position carries supervisory responsibilities. 

  • College education preferred (Experience will be taken into consideration above education.)
  • Previous clerical/administrative experience and experience with office computers and software
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive
  • Must have reliable transportation
