Job Description
General Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and enforcing corporate Quality Control program and corporate quality control manual. Develop standards, metrics to measure performance, deviation identification and documentation, improvement plans and processes, etc. Development of quality forms archive, work instructions, first articles, weld instruction and training, lean manufacturing, paint measuring and processes, etc.
This position falls under the company's safety-sensitive category. Successful candidates must comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy and are subject to pre-employment, random, post-incident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing
Essential Duties
1. Performs a variety of duties in support of Quality Control:
2. Participates with other departments in establishing specific goals for QC and overall setting the metrics in place to measure them.
3. Coordinates schedule of AAR audits and all related meetings and forms requiring signature.
4. Meets with suppliers to review their QC programs and level of success/ metrics. Enforces QC standards with purchases products/parts in support of the QC program.
5. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
6. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the company’s compliance with all regulatory requirements.
7. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate personnel.
8. Communicates with other departments and appropriate staff personnel to integrate activities.
9. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
