Working closely with the Director / VP, the Associate owns day-to-day execution of assigned programs, manages cross-functional coordination, supports external stakeholder relationships, and contributes to messaging and reporting related to community affairs and economic development. This role is designed for an early-career professional who has demonstrated leadership at scale, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate with increasing independence and judgment.

While the primary focus will be the Americas, the role offers periodic exposure to global markets and international stakeholders, supporting Salute’s broader mission and providing professional development through limited global collaboration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as an active participant in maintaining relationships with local community organizations, non-profits, educational institutions, and civic partners across Americas-based markets
  • Coordinate engagement activities, meetings, and events with external partners, ensuring professional communication, preparation, and follow-up
  • Support select global community initiatives by collaborating with internal teams and partners in EMEA, as appropriate

Workforce & Economic Development Initiatives

  • Support execution of workforce pipeline initiatives in collaboration with local colleges, universities, vocational programs, and workforce development organizations
  • Assist in coordinating global knowledge-sharing and best-practice exchange related to workforce and community initiatives, particularly with EMEA counterparts
  • Track and summarize engagement activities, outcomes, and community impact metrics to support reporting and continuous improvement

Program & Project Ownership

  • Own planning and execution of assigned community affairs and economic development programs, including timelines, logistics, stakeholder coordination, and post-initiative reporting
  • Coordinate across internal stakeholders (Operations, HR, Marketing, Learning & Development, Vendor Management) to ensure alignment and successful delivery
  • Identify risks, gaps, or process improvements and escalate thoughtfully with proposed solutions

Communications & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing and Communications to support development of internal and external content related to community initiatives
  • Assist in preparing briefing materials, presentations, and summaries for leadership that may include both regional and global context
  • Ensure consistent messaging and documentation across community affairs programs in alignment with global standards

Operational Focus & Professional Growth

  • Maintain structured documentation of community engagements, contacts, and program outcomes
  • Demonstrate strong organizational discipline while managing multiple initiatives in parallel
  • Leverage exposure to EMEA initiatives as a learning opportunity to build global perspective and cultural awareness

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Demonstrated leadership experience involving team leadership, program ownership, or large-scale coordination
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with comfort engaging diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to operate in a cross-functional environment with professionalism, discretion, and accountability
