Security Patrol Officer at White Sands Treatment Center of Tampa LLC – Plant City, Florida

We are looking for a vigilant and professional Security Patrol Officer to join our team Full-Time. The ideal candidate will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets. You will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions. The goal is to detect, deter, observe and report. This role requires strong observational skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents.

Responsibilities:

• Protect company’s property, staff and clients by maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
• Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
• Write detailed incident reports, take accurate notes of unusual occurrences and maintain daily activity logs
• Report in detail any suspicious incidents
• Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
• Monitor surveillance and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
• Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
• Perform first aid or CPR
• Control access to buildings and property by verifying identification and authorizations.
• Respond to emergencies and assist law enforcement when necessary.
• Deter criminal activity through visible presence and adherence to security protocols.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military (preferred but not always required)
• Experience with surveillance systems and patrol procedures is a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
• Strong observational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills for report writing and incident documentation.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Ability to work independently and follow protocols.

• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
