Job Purpose/Objective

The Inventory Control Associate will process transactions related to shipping and receiving material in a warehouse; reconcile inventory discrepancies and researching situations related to the accuracy of inventory. This position will also be responsible for general office duties related to the position and some facility compliance work.

Job Duties

  • Under general supervision, exercises some judgement in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.
  • Audit inventory to keep systems in balance during daily operations.
  • Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy. Complete follow up to all previous inventory adjustments. Completes and reviews cycle counts, and reports to management any concerns, trends, or issues.
  • Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures
  • Research and resolve inventory Update inventory and inventory discrepancies in the Warehouse Management System including processing adjustments.
  • Report on operational errors impacting inventory performance.
  • Promote a safe work environment through personal actions. Identify and report on any safety concerns.
  • Assist with special project and other inventory related duties as well as other duties as assigned.
  • Communicate potential quality issues to supply chain and assist in quarantining product until disposition is determined.
  • Maintains conditions of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct locations, etc.). Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in distribution/manufacturing environment required.
  • Inventory control experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to coordinate daily workflow with other individuals with the facility.
  • Flexible with handling workload changes and interruptions.
  • Excellent team player and customer service driven.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • Ability to perform work while operating equipment such as a scissors lift to elevate the associate to heights reaching 30 feet above the ground.
