Evening Custodial Maintenance (available between 5pm and 12am) at Global Cleaning Services Corp – Virginia Beach, Virginia

We’re looking for dedicated and detail-driven Cleaners who take pride in creating spotless, welcoming environments! As a vital member of our team, you'll help keep our facilities shining and safe. You’ll do more than just clean—you’ll make a difference every day in the way people experience our space. Our General Cleaning staff report directly to the Area Manager and are essential to our mission of excellence.

This is an evening position. It would be a great second source of employment or perfect for someone who prefers a later wake-up call.

What You’ll Do
Get ready to roll up your sleeves and tackle tasks like a pro! Your daily duties will include:

• Keeping interior spaces sparkling clean—floors, windows, doors, rugs, and walls
• Disinfecting high-touch areas like exam tables, doorknobs, office furniture, and handrails
• Emptying trash and recycling bins to keep things fresh and tidy
• Scrubbing, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming with precision and pride
• Keeping restrooms fresh, stocked, and spotless
• Using equipment like floor scrubbers and buffers to bring out the shine (training provided if needed!)
• Reporting safety concerns or supply shortages to your Supervisor promptly
• Dusting down furniture and fixtures for that final polished touch
• Jumping into other cleaning tasks as assigned—you’re always ready to lend a hand!

Education, Training, & Certification

Education: At least a high school diploma or GED is preferred for this position, as well as some experience.

Experience: Cleaners will receive on-the-job training while working underneath a more experienced Cleaner for a brief period. Cleaner can also earn several certifications specific to different areas, such as biohazard cleaning.

Skills & Competencies

Qualified candidates need the following skills and qualities:

· Good communication skills

· Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them

· Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces

· Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds

· Good organization skills

· Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners

· Excellent time-management skills
