About This Position
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Mechanic is to analyze and diagnose equipment issues and execute light to moderate maintenance and repairs timely on various manufacturing production equipment and related accessories. Incumbent will work under minimal supervision. Responsibilities captioned below are considered essential job functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Adhere to established safety procedures and 5 “ S ” standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain the cycle) required to perform daily duties in this position, including the proper techniques used in lifting/moving of parts
- Observe, review, test and diagnose performance issues on manufacturing production equipment and related accessories to determine appropriate parts and repairs needed
- Communicate diagnosis to Supervisor to obtain necessary parts or supplies to complete repair
- Perform routine maintenance such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, hoists, cranes and sanitary facilities and inspect for excessive wear and/or damage
- Utilize power and hand tools to remove, replace and adjust fasteners and locking mechanisms, hoist and replace parts as needed
- Disassemble machines and makes repairs to hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, pipe fitting, sheet metal, basic electrical mechanical and masonry
- Maintain accurate work order, log of maintenance and repairs performed to specific equipment
- Other duties as assigned

WORKING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- May be exposed to moderate heat, light dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, noise, and hazards such as electrical shock or gases. Some outside assignments could involve exposure to adverse weather conditions. Adequate hearing protection is required for 85 decibels and above.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
- This position does not require any supervisory duties.
SCHEDULE:
- 12-hour Day Weekend Shift Friday through Sunday

Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical operation and repair
- Knowledge of various types of Plumbing repair methods
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent, Trade school education preferred.
- Two years of mechanic experience in manufacturing environment
