Position Overview

We are seeking a high-energy, entrepreneurial, and hands-on VP Commercial Operations, EMEA to establish and lead our expansion into the European market. This is a foundational leadership role that requires a unique blend of strategic vision and "in-the-trenches" execution.

In Year One, you will operate as a "player/coach," personally driving the first wave of adoption for our Pyxa instrument while hiring and mentoring your first sales representative and a small support team. As the region scales, your role will evolve into a broader leadership capacity, overseeing sales, marketing, and customer support across EMEA. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of launching disruptive life science technologies in Europe and possesses the grit to build a territory from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Year 1: Market Entry & Execution

Drive Early Adoption: Personally lead the sales process for the Pyxa instrument, identifying and closing key accounts and "early access" partners across EMEA.

Direct Evangelism: Act as the primary face of Stellaromics in the region, building deep relationships with KOLs and technical stakeholders in the spatial biology community.

Initial Team Build: Recruit, onboard, and manage your first high-performing sales representative to expand regional coverage. You will also hire and manage a small field team to support early adopters in EMEA.

Market Setup & Development: Establish the foundational commercial infrastructure, including localized pricing strategies and distribution logistics in alignment with global goals. Identify and represent Stellaromics at key EMEA conference events, as well as create targeted events of our own, to drive market development.

Year 2 and Beyond: Scaling & Leadership

Strategic Regional Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive EMEA commercial strategy that aligns with Stellaromics’ global vision and growth objectives.

Functional Expansion: Build out and oversee the regional Marketing and Customer Support functions to ensure a seamless end-to-end customer experience.

Sales Management: Transition into a full leadership role, optimizing sales operations, setting regional targets, and tracking performance to exceed revenue goals.

Product Advocacy: Collaborate with global product management to provide EMEA-specific market feedback, informing future product roadmaps and competitive positioning.

Customer Engagement: Maintain a highly hands-on approach to key customer relationships, ensuring exceptional service and fostering long-term regional loyalty.

Qualifications

Experience: 10+ years of commercial leadership in the Life Sciences industry, with a specific focus on genomics, spatial biology, or high-end instrumentation.

Track Record: Proven success in early stage technology companies, demonstrated ability to deliver sales results, build new markets, and establish scientific and commercial credibility with thought leaders.

Regional Expertise: Deep understanding of the EMEA market landscape, including regulatory requirements, procurement processes, and key academic/biopharma hubs.

Strategic Mindset: Ability to translate global commercial strategies into actionable regional plans.

Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with a US-based headquarters.

Management: Ability to motivate, inspire, develop, and lead teams successfully.

Education: Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD) in Life Sciences or Business preferred.

Why Stellaromics?

Innovative Technology: Be part of a company at the cutting edge of spatial biology and genomics, revolutionizing the way researchers understand biology.

Impactful Role: You will have a significant impact on the department and the future of the company.

Collaborative Environment: Work with a talented, passionate team in a culture that values creativity, innovation, and teamwork.

Career Growth: As a high-growth company, we offer significant opportunities for professional development and career advancement.

Compensation

An attractive compensation and benefits package based on market pay data will be commensurate with candidate skills, qualifications, and experience.
