About This Position

Kitchen Expeditor

Kitchen Expeditor - Crooked Hammock Brewery

Summary of Position: The Expeditor ensures our Crooked Hammock quality and product is served to each of our guests every time. They also guarantee proper presentation in a timely manner, that each order has been prepared and assembled according to recipes and procedures to avoid waste. The Expeditor makes sure the line is always stocked, clean, neat, and safe. They are the bridge between the front and back of the house, in addition to being the last line of defense for the guest. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist with presentation and assembly of dishes according to standards & guest orders
  • Maintain expert knowledge of all of our food, should know every question anyone asks about the ingredients in the dish
  • Restock plates and silverware needed on the line
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and show the staff & guests genuine care, respect, and hospitality
  • Work closely with service staff and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and guest service
  • Follow the pace of each table and ensure servers are not rushing or lagging tables.
  • Demonstrate ability to keep calm under pressure and be the anchor of the restaurant.
  • Motivate team to move quickly and efficiently
  • Read tickets and get orders out in a timely manner
Qualifications:
  • Must be 16 years of age.
  • At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests.
  • Must be clean, organized and able to project his or her voice.
  • Must be quick and deliberate.
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
