This role leads a newly formed Platform & Developer Experience (DevX) organization, shaping the technical and product direction for internal platform services and developer tooling. You will manage senior engineers, remove friction from development workflows, and deliver scalable, resilient platform solutions that accelerate engineering velocity and reliability. This position requires strong technical judgment, strategic vision, and the ability to drive alignment across multiple teams while maintaining operational excellence. You will influence both platform architecture and developer productivity, ensuring measurable improvements in performance, adoption, and reliability. The role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys turning complex systems into high-impact, developer-friendly outcomes.
Accountabilities:
  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of senior engineers and engineering managers across Platform and Developer Experience.
  • Set technical direction for highly scalable, resilient platform services, including cloud-native infrastructure, low-latency communication systems, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Drive DevX initiatives, building developer environments, internal tools, testing infrastructure, and AI automation to accelerate engineering velocity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, SRE, Security, and external partners to define priorities, communicate trade-offs, and drive alignment.
  • Establish measurable goals and success criteria (adoption, latency, MTTR, cost, time-to-ship) and iterate based on metrics.
  • Oversee architecture reviews, infrastructure governance, and tooling adoption while maintaining high reliability and performance standards.
  • Influence organizational processes and change management, promoting efficiency, developer satisfaction, and measurable outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience leading and hiring senior engineers and engineering managers in complex technical environments.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native architecture, microservices, distributed systems, infrastructure-as-code, and performance optimization.
  • Track record delivering developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, observability frameworks, and process improvements at scale.
  • Strong strategic, product, and outcome-driven planning skills, with ability to define OKRs and measurable roadmaps.
  • Exceptional cross-team communication, executive presence, and ability to translate technical details into business impact.
  • Familiarity with real-time communication systems (chat/voice), developer environments, and AI integrations is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and change management skills in fast-moving, high-impact environments.
  • Strong bias for execution and measurable outcomes, including adoption rates, CI/CD success, pipeline times, error budgets, and developer satisfaction metrics.
