Location: In-Person (Chandler, AZ)
Reports to: State Reporting Team Lead
Employment Type: Non-Exempt / Full-Time

About StrongMind:

StrongMind is a remote-first education and technology company on a mission to transform learning for students, families, and educators across the country. For more than 25 years, we’ve partnered with schools and districts to deliver innovative, student-centered learning experiences powered by technology, compassion, and bold thinking.

We believe education should be flexible, human, and built for real life. That belief shapes how we design our products, support our partners, and work together as a team. At StrongMind, you’ll find smart people doing meaningful work, a culture rooted in trust and accountability, and leaders who genuinely care about both outcomes and people.

The Team You Will Join

You’ll be part of the State Reporting and Data Operations team, working closely with school staff, operations partners, and internal teams to ensure student data is accurate, compliant, and successfully reported to state systems. This team is responsible for maintaining data integrity across student information systems and supporting schools in meeting state reporting requirements.

The team culture is detail-oriented, collaborative, and service-focused. You’ll have opportunities to build expertise in state reporting processes, data quality practices, and education compliance while partnering across StrongMind and our school communities.

The Difference You Will Make

In this role, your work will directly impact schools, students, and funding outcomes by ensuring student data is accurate, complete, and properly reported to the Arizona Department of Education.

You’ll help maintain data integrity, resolve reporting errors, and support schools in meeting compliance requirements. Your accuracy and responsiveness will enable correct state submissions, reduce audit risk, and ensure schools receive appropriate funding and accountability reporting.

A Typical Day Looks Like

While no two days are exactly the same, you can expect to:

  • Enter and update student data in PowerSchool and related systems
  • Audit student records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with state requirements
  • Monitor AzEDS reporting and state error reports and resolve discrepancies
  • Generate and review student data reports to ensure correct submissions
  • Coordinate with team members on start-of-year and year-end data processes
  • Respond to school and internal data requests with professionalism and timeliness
  • Support Arizona Department of Education audit preparation and data corrections
  • Interpret reporting requirements and apply policies to data processes

This role balances data entry, analysis, compliance review, and collaboration and is well-suited for someone who enjoys working with data, solving discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy in complex systems.

Your Expertise Include

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data or information management tools
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex policies and procedures
  • Analytical and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to adapt to evolving processes and requirements
  • Alignment with StrongMind’s core values: Kindness, Accountability, Collaboration, Innovation, and Grit

Bonus points if you also have:

  • Experience working with student data or state reporting in an educational environment
  • Familiarity with PowerSchool or student information systems
  • Experience supporting compliance, audits, or state reporting processes

Our Commitment to Inclusion & Belonging:

We believe the best ideas come from bringing together people with different perspectives, experiences, and ways of thinking. We are committed to welcoming a broad range of talent and encouraging all qualified individuals to apply. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging and is empowered to contribute, grow, and do meaningful work.

How We'll Take Care of You:

We believe that when people feel supported, they do their best work.

Our commitment to you includes:

  • A competitive total compensation package, including medical, dental, vision, and voluntary benefits
  • Well-being that works for real life—from an on-site gym, virtual wellness programs, and wellness coaching to flexible work options for select roles, because your well-being fuels your brilliance
  • Unlimited PTO for salaried roles and “life happens” days when you need flexibility
  • A fully paid holiday week off at Christmas, so you can truly rest, reset, and reconnect
  • Recognition and rewards that celebrate birthdays, meaningful anniversary milestones, and community service hours that let you give back
  • Quarterly Town Halls that keep communication transparent, honest, and human
  • Annual social events and traditions we genuinely look forward to—like Halloween celebrations, Wellness Fairs, and other moments that bring our community together

We’re intentional about building a workplace where people feel valued, connected, and empowered to thrive—at work and beyond.
