JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Manager (PM) will organize and plan projects for OBR while taking the lead to ensure projects are completed on time, budget, and to specifications. It will be the PM’s responsibility to organize, track, bill, and report status for multiple projects executed within Taiwan Semiconductor Mfg. Company site and potentially other projects in OBR Southwest Territory.
ROLES/TASKS OF THE POSITION
- Serve as the central point of contact, collaborating with sales, engineering, drafting, construction, safety, and accounting to ensure successful project delivery.
- Review contracts, proposals, estimates, and purchase orders to confirm compliance with specifications, scope, and budget.
- Develop and manage project schedules covering design, procurement, construction, and closeout; delegate tasks and coordinate resources accordingly.
- Work closely with OBR engineering, safety, quality, sales, and construction departments to ensure project success.
- Prepare construction packages and lead turnover meetings to align teams before mobilization.
- Monitor costs, forecasts, and profitability; communicate changes to finance and act as liaison between sales and field teams.
- Provide timely support to field crews, resolving material or customer issues to keep projects on track.
- Collect daily/weekly reports from field supervision and organize the information to track project progress.
- Oversee safety planning, compliance with regulations, and preparation of required documentation.
- Manage change orders, vendor invoices, and ERP entries to maintain financial accuracy. Submit monthly billing based on OBR progress tracking tools.
- Contribute to marketing, estimating, bidding, and drawing production as needed.
- Perform additional duties to support organizational goals
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing projects.
- Good organizational skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Project.
- Experience with MS Project scheduling is required.
- Experience using AutoCAD is preferred.
- Organized, Self-starter with willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute.
- Industrial plant experience preferred.
- Must be comfortable working in fast paced environments and willing to monitor work closely both in an office and in the field.
PREREQUISITES & REQUIREMENTS
- Negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test.
- Valid Driver's License and proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Satisfactory background check.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of this role, with reasonable accommodation provided as needed.
- Work in both office and industrial environments, including hot, humid conditions and short-term assignments at power plants or refineries.
- Safely climb structures and work at heights; lift up to 25 pounds; bend, stoop, and climb stairs.
- Use hand tools (e.g., hammers, wrenches) and read tape measures to collect field data, including in cooling towers.
- Perform computer-based tasks such as typing, data entry, and reading from screens or paper documents.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively verbally.
- Wear a respirator when required; must pass pulmonary and fit testing
