Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Cook to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing, cooking, and processing food products in a high-volume production environment while ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, can operate food processing equipment, and is comfortable with the physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and process food items according to recipes, production schedules, and company standards.
• Operate, clean, and maintain food production machinery and equipment safely.
• Follow all food safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and sanitation procedures.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients as required.
• Monitor cooking processes and adjust temperatures, times, or machine settings as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 75 lbs consistently throughout the shift.

• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Experience operating food production equipment (mixers, ovens, kettles, etc.) preferred but not required—training provided.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.

• Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend, and move about the work environment, plants, or offices. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms, climb, or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Lifting requirements are up to 75 lbs. Exposure to loud industrial-type environments is commonly found in plants. Varied temperatures from hot and humid to very cold.
