Skilled Trades Staffing Recruiter at SST Direct – Texas

Superior Skilled Trades (SST) is seeking an enthusiastic Skilled Trades Recruiter to join our team. You will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing skilled trades / construction professionals for select high profile clients. We’re looking for someone with established sourcing and recruiting experience within the skilled trades / construction industry, impeccable customer service skills, and one who is experienced in adjusting quickly to new demands and direction throughout the work week.

Skilled Trades recruiting experience is required for this role (ie skilled plumbers, electricians, welders). We we are not considering those with general labor, light industrial, manufacturing, hospitality, etc. backgrounds.

• Location: This is a work-from-home position
• Salary Range: $50,000-$65,000 (depending on experience)
• Incentive: $2,500-$3,500 in monthly incentives/commission
• Hours: 40+ hours per week (occasional evenings/weekends as needed)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the recruitment process for skilled trades roles: sourcing, screening, and interviewing
• Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through job boards, referrals, social media, and networking
• Partner with account managers and leadership to understand client staffing needs and provide tailored recruitment solutions
• Communicate regularly with candidates to ensure a positive hiring experience
• Accurately maintain candidate data, employee files, and compliance requirements
• Occasionally work evenings or weekends to meet urgent staffing deadlines

Qualifications

• 2+ years recruiting skilled trades / construction roles (we are not considering those with light industrial, manufacturing, hospitality, etc. backgrounds)
• Strong sourcing skills
• Proven ability to work well under pressure when addressing regular high-demand requests and needs
• Bilingual a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open positions and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build rapport quickly
