About This Position

Sr. DevOps Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. DevOps Engineer in the United States.

This role is a senior technical position focused on building, scaling, and securing a mission-critical Azure-based SaaS platform that supports highly regulated and security-sensitive environments. You will play a key role in designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure that ensures high availability, performance, and compliance for enterprise-grade systems. Operating within a fast-paced and highly collaborative engineering organization, you will drive automation, reliability, and operational excellence across the entire DevOps lifecycle. This position requires strong expertise in cloud-native architectures, CI/CD systems, and infrastructure-as-code practices. You will also contribute directly to security and compliance initiatives, including FedRAMP readiness, while supporting production systems and incident response. This is a high-impact role for an engineer passionate about scalable systems, reliability engineering, and secure cloud infrastructure.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, build, secure, and scale Azure-based SaaS infrastructure using cloud-native services such as AKS, Azure Functions, and Service Bus.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release workflows using tools like Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
  • Implement and promote Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices, including observability, monitoring, incident response, and system reliability.
  • Support FedRAMP and other compliance initiatives through secure configurations, audit logging, documentation, and operational readiness.
  • Manage production environments through Tier 2/3 support, on-call rotations, and incident resolution during critical business hours.
  • Drive infrastructure automation, capacity planning, performance optimization, and cost efficiency across cloud services.
  • Build and maintain monitoring systems, alerting frameworks, and operational runbooks to ensure system stability and rapid response.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, security, and compliance teams on architecture, disaster recovery, and platform evolution.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering roles, including at least 3+ years working with Azure cloud environments. You have hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and managing cloud-native workloads at scale. Strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, along with scripting skills in Python and/or Bash, is required. You are experienced in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for microservices and distributed systems. A strong understanding of observability, monitoring, incident management, and reliability engineering practices is essential. Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, SOC2, or similar regulated environments is highly valued. You bring excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work effectively across distributed teams. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is preferred.

Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package with comprehensive employee and dependent benefits coverage
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
  • Generous paid time off and flexible remote work policy
  • Strong focus on professional development and career growth opportunities
  • Exposure to cutting-edge cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure projects
  • Collaborative, innovation-driven engineering culture
  • Supportive leadership invested in learning and technical advancement
  • Inclusive and diverse workplace committed to equal opportunity employment
