This is a senior-level remote leadership role responsible for overseeing a federally funded workforce development initiative focused on expanding AI-related apprenticeship programs across the United States. You will provide strategic direction for a multi-stakeholder program that connects federal agencies, state apprenticeship systems, and workforce partners. Acting as the primary liaison with government stakeholders, you will ensure all deliverables meet performance, compliance, and quality expectations. The role requires strong program oversight skills, deep familiarity with apprenticeship systems, and the ability to lead complex, distributed teams. Operating in a mission-driven environment, you will help shape national strategies that strengthen the AI talent pipeline. - Serve as the primary point of contact with federal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on deliverables, performance, and contract expectations.
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for a multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts, analysts, and program staff.
- Manage overall project execution, including budgets, timelines, work plans, and quality assurance across multiple task areas.
- Coordinate with state apprenticeship agencies, national workforce intermediaries, and other external partners.
- Ensure all outputs meet federal requirements, including quality standards, plain language guidelines, and Section 508 compliance.
- Lead participation in progress reviews, federal meetings, and stakeholder briefings.
- Oversee reporting and performance tracking to ensure compliance with contract obligations and outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of equivalent experience without a degree.
- Strong knowledge of the Registered Apprenticeship system, including federal regulations (29 CFR Part 29) and program standards.
- Proven experience managing federal workforce development contracts and working with government stakeholders.
- Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder national or large-scale initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide distributed, multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging senior executives and government officials.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in workforce development is a plus.
- Prior experience with Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship programs or intermediary contracts is highly desirable.
