Inventory Associate at Gonzalez Group – Detroit, Michigan

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for cycle counts and processing quarterly inventory.

• Entering received materials into the system.

• Following up on overdue purchase orders

• Checking Sales Orders

• Checking and updating the production schedule.

• Creating work orders to make parts.

• Communicating low inventory items between shop and purchasing

• Checking in returned materials.

• Will also be a backup for purchasing.

o Issue purchase orders for materials to be brought in-house and drop ship for other locations directly to customers.

o Help the sales team in checking lead times with vendors.

o Checking on order statuses

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Prior similar experience preferred

SKILLS

• Basic data entry skills

• Highly organized and attentive to detail.

• Good listening and strong communication skills.

• Mathematically proficient.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED certificate

• Prior warehouse experience (preferred)

• Exceptional organizational skills

• Must have basic knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
