We are currently looking for a Engineering Manager, AI Systems in Florida.In this role, you will lead the evolution of a core AI platform that powers multiple AI-driven product experiences at scale. You will operate at the intersection of engineering leadership, hands-on technical contribution, and AI product delivery, ensuring reliable and efficient AI services across cloud environments. Working closely with product, AI research, security, and SRE teams, you will help translate cutting-edge AI capabilities into production-ready systems. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and remote-first, designed for engineers who enjoy ownership and impact. You will guide teams through complex technical challenges while maintaining a strong focus on reliability, performance, and cost efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to shape foundational AI infrastructure used across an entire product suite.Accountabilities:

• Lead a cross-functional AI product engineering team, owning strategy, execution, and delivery across multiple AI-powered experiences
• Define and drive the technical direction for AI systems, including inference backends, retrieval foundations, and user-facing AI capabilities
• Partner closely with AI research and model training teams to align on model capabilities, evaluation frameworks, and productionization paths
• Ensure high standards for reliability, performance, security, and token-cost efficiency of AI inference services
• Oversee infrastructure operations, including on-call rotations and operational readiness across cloud environments
• Operate in a player-coach model, spending approximately half of your time on hands-on engineering tasks such as writing evaluations, testing, debugging, and contributing to core systems

Requirements:

• 4 to 7 years of experience in engineering management, leading high-performing technical teams
• Recent hands-on engineering experience with TypeScript or JavaScript, Python, or Go
• Strong background in B2B SaaS product development and scalable cloud-based systems
• Demonstrated interest in AI and machine learning, with the ability to discuss current AI trends thoughtfully
• Experience working directly on AI-powered products or platforms
• Excellent communication skills and leadership presence, especially within distributed and remote teams
• Willingness to participate in stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties as required
