Position Summary:
The Market & Customer Insights Specialist plays a critical role in generating actionable insights that support strategic and commercial decision-making across the North American organization.
This role sits at the intersection of market intelligence, customer insights, and commercial analytics, translating data and signals from multiple sources into clear insights that enable leadership to act with confidence.
Working within a small, high-impact team, this position will help strengthen intelligence capabilities by connecting market dynamics, customer behavior, and performance data to identify risks, opportunities, and emerging trends.
The role provides broad exposure to leadership and offers a unique platform for a high-potential insights professional seeking to grow.
Job Responsibilities:
Market & Competitive Intelligence
• Support Product Managers in developing and maintaining portfolio market models by providing external market intelligence, competitive insights, and analytical support.
• Partner with Product Managers to ensure market assumptions are informed by the latest industry data, competitive dynamics, and customer insights.
• Contribute to strengthening the consistency and transparency of market assumptions across portfolios where appropriate.
• Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and segment dynamics to help Product Managers identify growth opportunities and emerging risks.
Customer Insights & Voice of Customer
• Support the development and analysis of Voice of Customer initiatives
• Analyze customer feedback data including NPS and survey insights
• Identify drivers of customer satisfaction, loyalty, and potential risk
• Connect customer signals to commercial outcomes and performance indicators
Insight Generation & Business Analysis
• Synthesize market, customer, and commercial performance data to generate actionable insights
• Identify emerging trends, risks, and growth opportunities
• Support decision-making through clear insight summaries and presentations
• Contribute to strengthening intelligence frameworks and reporting structures
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Product Management to provide analytical and market intelligence support for portfolio planning and strategic discussions.
• Serve as a thought partner to Product Managers by helping interpret market signals, customer feedback, and competitive movements.
• Support portfolio teams by synthesizing insights from multiple sources including market data, customer feedback, and commercial performance.
• Other duties as assigned.
Physical Attributes:
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and analyzing data
• Frequent use of a computer, including keyboarding and viewing digital screens
• Ability to communicate effectively via phone, video, and in-person meetings
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, and move throughout the office environment
• Ability to travel occasionally (if applicable) for team meetings or business needs
Work Environment:
• Primarily office-based, hybrid work environment
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field OR equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience in market intelligence, strategic insights, commercial analytics, or consulting, with hands-on experience working with market, customer, and/or commercial performance data
• 2+ years of Experience working with data tools such as Excel, Power BI, Snowflake, and SQL
• 2+ years of experience workling in a med device or other regulated industry
• 3+ years of experience with Product management or product launch processes
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated ability to generate insights that inform business decisions
• Strong analytical thinking and hypothesis-driven problem solving
• Ability to interpret complex datasets and synthesize key insights
• Business & Communication Skills
• Ability to translate analysis into clear and concise insights
• Strong written and presentation skills
• Comfortable communicating with cross-functional stakeholders
Salary: $108,000- $120,000/Annually. The final pay for this position will vary based on geographic location and candidate experience relative to what the company reasonably anticipates for this position.
