SPECIALIST, GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Role Overview
The Specialist, Graphic Designer supports the development and execution of high-quality visual communications that reinforce the organization’s brand identity across all platforms. This role partners closely with the Communications & Public Affairs and Marketing & Events teams to produce creative assets that support membership engagement, advocacy, and event initiatives.
This is primarily a production-focused role, responsible for executing design projects under direction while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to brand standards. The Specialist also contributes creative ideas and design solutions to enhance the organization’s visual storytelling and audience engagement.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Develop and produce high-quality graphic assets to support communications, marketing, membership, and event initiatives.
- Design visual materials for both print (e.g., brochures, fact sheets, signage) and digital platforms (e.g., social media, email, website graphics) aligned with organizational branding.
- Create visually engaging graphics that simplify and communicate complex information effectively.
- Assist in the layout and design of multi-page publications, including reports, presentations, and marketing collateral.
- Maintain and update branded templates to ensure consistency and ease of use across the organization.
- Apply established brand standards, typography, color, and layout principles to all deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute projects, incorporating feedback and revisions in a timely manner.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Support the execution of visual concepts for campaigns, events, and special projects.
- Ensure all design assets meet accessibility standards, including Section 508 compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance visual consistency and improve design processes
Photography Responsibilities:
- Capture professional staff headshots in alignment with organizational brand standards.
- Provide on-site event photography to support conferences, meetings, and internal events.
- Edit and optimize photos for use across digital and print platforms.
- Organize and maintain a digital photo library for easy access and future use.

Skills and Abilities
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to design across multiple formats, including digital, print, and social media.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to producing error-free work.
Experience:
- 2-4 years of professional design experience (internships and freelance work may be considered).
- Familiarity with the personal care, cosmetics, or consumer products industry a plus.
- Foundational understanding of branding, typography, color theory, and layout principles.
- Experience with event and/or headshot photography is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva.
- Microsoft Suite
Working Conditions
- Occasional periods of increased workload tied to events or office needs.
- Hybrid (minimum 2 days a week)
