The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Sr. Account Executive to join our team in the heart of Financial District, San Francisco. This role reports to the VP, Sr. Client Partner. As a Sr. Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in leading key PR and marketing accounts that focus on authentically connecting brands with multicultural media and community organizations. Your responsibilities will include developing campaign strategies, drafting press materials, guiding creative, conducting media/community outreach, executing media events, overseeing day-to-day client needs/requests, and managing a direct report (Account Coordinator level).

What You’ll Do

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead a cross-functional team for multiple brands.
  • Responsible for achieving a client’s strategic brand objectives and driving award-winning, high impact, integrated campaigns.
  • Own the client relationship, establishing solid relationships with senior level clients. Has ultimate accountability for the success of IW relationship with our client.
  • Drive growth of the client relationship by exceeding client expectations, as well as identifying new opportunities, and building growth strategies into our work.
  • Understand client challenges and able to define IW Group’s approach and strategy and articulate a plan of action and guide successful implementation.
  • Build a high-performing team culture, working in close partnership with strategic, creative, production, PR and activation leads.
  • Knowledgeable of these functional roles and understands how to drive work across all disciplines.
  • Serve as a champion of bold thinking and innovative solutions that surprise and delight the client.
  • Identify and build an ongoing pipeline of opportunities create pathways for our team to grow the business and differentiate our agency’s strengths.
  • Active involvement in strategy reviews, creative reviews and all major presentation reviews, and key client meetings.
  • Manage a dynamic thriving account including ongoing retail campaigns + integrated brand campaigns.

What You’ll Bring

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or vocational degree from a fully accredited college or university.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multicultural and Asian consumers.
  • Experience leading integrated brand campaigns.
  • Proven experience growing business, finding new ways in, charting new pathways.
  • Ability to role model the agency’s vision and connect it to client’s goals.
  • Strong pulse on culture, diversity, community, traditional/digital/social media, and new communications innovations.
  • Minimum of 3+ years professional work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a client-facing managerial role or above.

  • Commitment to producing the best work possible (aka willing to work long hours when necessary).
  • Must be willing and able to travel.
  • A sense of humor; flexibility.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Setting clear objectives for team members.
  • Overseeing workflow and monitoring productivity. Providing guidance and support through coaching.
  • Resolving issues within the team or on an individual basis offering constructive feedback as needed.
  • Foster knowledge-sharing across all disciplines to ensure collaborative and informed work.

  • Salary: $65,000-$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience

Hybrid Work Model

  • Work Model: IW Group supports a hybrid work schedule. Teams are required to work in-office at least three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday.
  • Work Environment: This role is based primarily in the IW Group office and may also involve working at client sites or other designated locations.
  • Work Hours: Project timelines may occasionally require extended hours, including evenings or weekends.
  • Travel and Events: This role may involve working outside the office for client events and may include occasional travel beyond the local area, including national or international locations.
