Cleaning & Sanitation Operator at New Hope Mills Manufacturing Inc – Auburn, New York

Position Summary
Perform various cleaning & sanitation tasks to ensure areas are clean, tidy and look excellent.

 Perform cleaning duties such as: cleaning floors, walls and glass, cleaning bathrooms, changing
towel & soap dispensers, removing trash and recyclable materials.
 Measure and administer chemical solutions for use in cleaning.
 Operate various industrial cleaning machinery such as vacuum cleaners and floor cleaners.
 Clean according to schedules and lists, and record when cleaning is complete.
 Cooperate in annual/semi-annual cleaning and help clean in other departments as needed.
 Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
 Knowledge of proper chemical use and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
 Must be self-motivated, responsible and detail oriented.
 Perform tasks that will result in contact with some food allergens. (Company will advise)
 High School Diploma/GED or equivalent education.
 Demonstrate commitment to company values, policies and procedures.
 Ability to stand and maneuver for long periods of time.
 Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift objects of up to 60 lbs.
 Ability to work well with colleagues in a professional & organized manner.
Desired skills
 2+ years of similar position experience.
 Machinery operation experience, especially Pallet Jack and Forklift experience.
 Experience in the manufacturing and food industry.
